About Jackie Jones
Jackie Jones got her entrepreneurial spirit from her mother, a nurse by night and the Avon Lady by day. Jackie was bitten by the 'entrepreneurial bug’ as a result of taking orders for Avon from the parents of her school friends.  Having learned merchandising, inventory management, customer service and sales skills from this home-based venture, Jackie felt equipped to take on greater business pursuits.  After completing studies in business law and accounting at Walton High School in the Bronx, NY where she grew up, Jackie was accepted to Bauder College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to study broadcasting.  Jackie later earned a degree in communications from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, in Stratford, Connecticut.  It wasn't long before Jackie earned the master of ceremonies distinction and was hired by individuals and organizations alike throughout the New York Metropolitan area.  After attending a National Association of Female Executives (Nafe) Leadership Retreat in Las Vegas, Jackie decided to relocate in 1993 to pursue a career in broadcasting (radio).  After volunteering at KCEP 88.1 FM (public broadcast station) was offered (and accepted) a position as underwriting coordinator where she first learned the 'sponsorship game'.  After a two years in public radio Jackie migrated to commercial radio in 1995 where she became the public affairs director for KJMZ 94.1 FM while hosting her own weekly talk show called Sunday Morning Jams with Jackie Jones.

December 1999 Jackie and two friends came together to form the Nevada Association for Female Executive and Entrepreneurs (NAFEE) local chapter affiliate of the National Association of Female Executives (Nafe) the nation’s largest business women’s networking association.  After 90 days utilizing Jackie's natural networking abilities the local chapter grew from 12 members to over 1000.  As a result the then President Kim Calero recommended Jackie for nomination to the regional position of southwest regional coordinator where she managed, maintained and grew five-states of women’s networking groups in Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.  Jackie has been profiled in many publications including a cover story in Women’s Day Magazine, and featured in many books written by authors such as Deborah Knuckey and  Linda Hollander (A.K.A. The Wealthy Bag Lady).

In July 2001, Jackie’s life was changed forever as a result of a near-fatal pedestrian accident involving her then twelve year old son Reginald Jones (R.J.) during his summer vacation in NY.  During her year stay at the Ronald McDonald House at Blythedale’s Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, NY, Jackie made friends online and developed strong online networks.  In her first few years as "stay-at-home-caretaking-mom" Jackie completed coursework at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and earned a degree in Hotel Administration.  She was one of a handful of students selected to be an apprentice on the UNLV Hotel Development Project. In addition, to her studies and apprenticeship duties she became the personal assistant to hotel developer Russ Dazzio of R&R Hotels and also obtain a real estate license as a Business Broker.  In 2005 Jackie decided to reignite her radio career online and begin the Jackie Jones Challenge to Living the Life of Your Dreams where she has interviewed hundreds of successful industry professionals and authors.

For more than 16 years Jackie has been in sales/marketing and has a track record of motivating others to realize their true potential.  Ms. Jones has received many community awards including most recently completing a year of service to America as an AmeriCorps Volunteer and was recognized for the 2009 President's Volunteer Service Award, Senatorial Recognition U.S. Senator John Ensign, Certificate of National Service AmeriCorps, Certificate of Congressional Recognition Dean Heller, Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition Shelley Berkley, Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition Dina Titus, and Certificate of Commendation - U.S. Senator Harry Reid.  Jackie is not only the Host of The Jackie Jones Challenge but a highly sought after Professional Speaker, Business Development and Marketing Consultant.
